Rip Tide Boys Home
Hope Harbor Rip Tide is an exciting, new, family-centered, six-bed home, located in a beautiful, residential neighborhood for teen boys, ages 12-17, who are at risk of running away, homelessness, criminalization, or human trafficking.
Who We Serve
The teens in our home come from low-to-moderate-income households and have limited resources for food, care, education, counseling, and mental health therapy.
"At Hope Harbor, we are providing at-risk teen boys a safe, structured and loving home where they can find solace from the emotional “rip tides” of life and focus on healing and restoration."
More than temporary relief, these teen boys need the opportunity to address the deeper-rooted issues behind their state of crisis and be fully empowered to change the trajectory of their lives.
Hope Harbor is the only youth shelter program in California that operates as a Christ-centered, family-based, therapy home environment with a good neighbor approach and provides live-in House Parents with full-time supervision of the teens at all times.
Each teen receives individual and family counseling, mental health care treatment and referrals, academic support, drug and alcohol prevention education, and life enrichment opportunities focused on college readiness and independent living skills.
Meet Brandon and Jewel Towns
Rip Tide Facility Manager and Hope Harbor Leads
Brandon and Jewel Towns are the live-in House Parents for the Rip Tide Boys Home, bringing a unique combination of pastoral care and social work to serve and empower vulnerable youth and their communities.
Brandon is a ministry leader, speaker, and nonprofit professional with a Bachelors of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies. He is pursing his Master of Business Administration at Biola University. Jewel holds a Master of Social Work degree from Arizona State University. She works in the medical field, connecting individuals and families with essential mental health resources and providing therapeutic support during crises.
Together, Brandon and Jewel offer grounded, compassionate leadership, blending pastoral care, professional training, and a deep commitment to walking with young men through seasons of challenge and growth.
