Jodi's Story

“As parents, we want to be the ones our kids come to for help. We want to be able to take it all away and make it better for them. I knew my daughter was in the best hands, in a safe home, and I trusted Hope Harbor to help both of us.” Jodi, now seven years sober, lives with her four daughters in Texas and continue to work on building a firm family foundation rooted in Christ. “Hope Harbor is a God send! I am forever grateful for Hope Harbor and their staff.”

While at Hope Harbor, Jacky found structure, a safe environment, and created positive bonds with her house sisters and house parents. “I was living with other girls who were struggling like me. We learned as a family how to stay away from trouble, use logic, and move beyond our struggles.” This was the second chance that Jacky needed to make real changes.

Hope Harbor taught Erica how to self-reflect and learn resilience through hardship. "I pride myself on the perspective I learned and carry that with me to this day." Hope Harbor has given Erica the tools to make the right decisions with her future self in mind.

Shortly after Claire and her family moved to Texas, her father was arrested, and Claire and her sister were placed in foster care. Waking up each day not knowing if she would have three meals or a place to lay her head at night began to take a toll.
Cesia's Story

Cesia's Story

Hope Harbor looks at each teen holistically so that they can address every area of their life that might have led to their current state of crisis. Cesia was provided with individual counseling, reliable transportation to and from school, academic support, and she could attend family counseling sessions with her sister and work on healing and restoration. “Hope Harbor changed my life completely. I made so many great memories, especially with my house mom, Donna. She was always so full of joy, making the house a great place to live.”
Sofia’s Story

Sofia’s Story

Sofia was born in Mexico and placed in an orphanage when she was just a baby. Her mom couldn't take care of her and her siblings because of money problems.
Nicolette's Story

Nicolette entered Hope Harbor at 16-years-old. She was adopted by a married couple who then returned her to the foster care system when they divorced.

I am now grown up, married with children of my own and they are the world to me. Through it all, I've never left Hope Harbor. Steve and Donna have been there for me every step of the way. That's the incredible love I mentioned before. Hope Harbor is a family and I'm glad it's mine.
